Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting Senior Care Assistants to support a well established care home service in Lancaster. This is a flexible opportunity offering ad hoc shifts across both day and night patterns.

We are looking for experienced, confident senior carers who can take responsibility on shift and deliver high standards of person centred care to elderly residents.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant in a care home setting
  • Medication administration experience
  • Strong leadership and shift support capability
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with personal care and moving and handling
  • Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK

The Role:

  • Leading and supporting care staff on shift where required
  • Delivering high quality personal care to residents
  • Administering medication in line with policy and procedures
  • Supporting residents with mobility, hygiene, nutrition and wellbeing needs
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in residents’ conditions
  • Ensuring accurate records, care notes and handovers are completed
  • Promoting dignity, independence and a safe environment at all times
