About the Role
As a Community Care Assistant, you will support vulnerable adults within their own homes across Calderdale and surrounding areas. You will help people remain independent, safe, and comfortable in their own homes while building positive and trusted relationships with clients and families. This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Duties will include:
- Personal care and support
- Assisting with washing, dressing, and daily routines
- Medication prompting and support
- Meal preparation
- Companionship and emotional support
- Supporting independence and wellbeing
- Completing care records accurately
- Building trust and positive relationships with service users
Staff typically support around 7 to 8 clients per day, with a mixture of single calls and double up care visits. Where possible, carers are kept working within one local area to provide consistency for both staff and clients.
