The Role: We are recruiting Healthcare Assistants for a purpose-built residential and dementia care home in Chorley supporting up to 67 residents aged 65 and over. The service provides high-quality care for individuals living with Dementia including mild and moderate stages, physical disabilities, visual and hearing impairments, Parkinson's disease, stroke-related conditions, bariatric and obesity-related care needs, palliative and end of life care, respite and long-term residential care.

You will work as part of a dedicated care team focused on delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred support that promotes dignity, independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers and moving and handling
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Supporting nutrition, hydration and mealtime assistance
  • Observing and reporting changes in wellbeing
  • Completing accurate care records and documentation
  • Supporting dementia care needs and behavioural changes
  • Working collaboratively with senior staff and families

Essential Requirements: Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
