Salary: Senior Care Assistant – £13.50 per hour

Hours: Flexible shifts available

Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting experienced Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants to support a well established care home service in Chorley. We are looking for reliable, compassionate, and experienced care staff who are passionate about delivering high quality person centred care to elderly residents. Both day shifts and night shifts are available on a flexible casual basis, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates looking to work around existing commitments.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a care home or elderly care setting
  • A caring and professional approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Medication administration experience preferred for Senior Care Assistants
  • Moving and handling experience
  • Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK

The Role:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing
  • Assisting residents with meals, hydration, and mobility
  • Monitoring and reporting any concerns or changes in behaviour
  • Supporting residents with emotional reassurance and companionship
  • Completing accurate care notes and handovers
  • Senior Care Assistants will also support with medication administration and shift leadership duties where required
