The Role: We are recruiting Healthcare Assistants for a purpose built residential and dementia care home in Chorley supporting up to 67 residents aged 65 and over. The service provides high quality care for individuals living with:

  • Dementia including mild and moderate stages
  • Physical disabilities
  • Visual and hearing impairments
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Stroke related conditions
  • Bariatric and obesity related care needs
  • Palliative and end of life care
  • Respite and long term residential care

You will work as part of a dedicated care team focused on delivering safe, compassionate and person centred support that promotes dignity, independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers and moving and handling
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Supporting nutrition, hydration and mealtime assistance
  • Observing and reporting changes in wellbeing
  • Completing accurate care records and documentation
  • Supporting dementia care needs and behavioural changes
  • Working collaboratively with senior staff and families

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
  • Compassionate, reliable and patient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to deliver person centred care with dignity and respect
  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns
  • Full right to work in the United Kingdom
