The Role:
Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting for experienced Housing Officers / Concierge Staff to support services across Blackburn working within supported accommodation and move on housing services. This role involves supporting vulnerable individuals to maintain their tenancy, develop independent living skills and successfully transition into long term accommodation.
Duties:
- Supporting residents within supported and move on accommodation.
- Carrying out welfare checks and tenancy related support.
- Assisting with benefit applications including Universal Credit and housing benefit.
- Supporting clients with budgeting and independent living skills.
- Managing access to the building and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
- Responding to incidents, safeguarding concerns and emergencies appropriately.
- Maintaining accurate records, support plans and handovers.
- Encouraging positive outcomes and engagement with external agencies.
