- Daily Rate: £168.80 - £215.68 per day
About the Science Teacher Role
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities
- Teach relevant areas of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, depending on experience and timetable
- Promote curiosity, critical thinking and a strong understanding of scientific concepts
- Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department
- Contribute to wider school activities and departmental development
The Ideal Science Teacher Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Be confident planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Be committed to supporting the progress and development of all learners
- Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people
- Provide details of the 2 most recent references, covering the last 5 years' work history
- Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of registration
- Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy the required safeguarding and compliance checks
