Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and organised School Business Support Officer to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Burnley area. The role is permanent and full-time, Monday to Friday, working 8:30am to 3:30pm, and is due to start in November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school administrator or business support professional to play a key role in the day-to-day financial and administrative management of a busy school.
Position Details:

- Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am to 3:30pm)
- Daily Rate: Grade 7 £16.62 - £18.85 per hour (dependant on experience)
About the Role:
- Manage the school’s day-to-day financial and administrative functions.
- Process financial transactions, monitor budgets and prepare reports for the Headteacher.
- Develop and maintain effective administrative systems and procedures.
- Support HR administration, including recruitment, personnel records and staff documentation.
- Assist with procurement, service contracts, licences and insurance.
- Reconcile school bank accounts, including School Fund accounts.
- Produce reports and analyse data for the Senior Leadership Team, governors and external agencies.
- Support income generation activities, school lettings and marketing.
