- Daily Rate: £168.80 – £215.68, depending on experience
About the Psychology Teacher Role
- Plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons at KS5/A Level
- Teach key psychological theories, approaches, research methods and studies
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations
- Develop students' critical thinking, analytical and evaluation skills
- Plan lessons that meet a range of abilities and learning needs
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a positive and purposeful classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement
The Ideal Psychology Teacher Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Psychology at KS5/A Level
- Have a strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Psychology curriculum
- Be confident planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Demonstrate effective classroom management and communication skills
- Be committed to supporting students' progress and examination success
- Be committed to safeguarding children and young people
- Provide details of the two most recent references, covering the last five years' work history
- Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of registration
- Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy the required safeguarding and compliance checks
