Are you a passionate PE Teacher seeking your next rewarding teaching opportunity? Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a well-established and supportive secondary school in the Burnley area. This full-time role is due to start ASAP and will be ongoing until March 2026. This is an excellent chance to teach PE across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a school that values inclusive teaching, academic excellence, and professional development.

Position Details:

  • Location: Burnley, Lancashire
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing (until March 2026)
  • Daily Rate: £168 – £215 per day

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons tailored to a range of learning abilities
  • Encourage a love for sport, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
  • Monitor and support student progress through meaningful assessment and feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Physical Education (KS3 & KS4)
  • Have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update Service
  • Be confident in planning and delivering creative and inclusive lessons
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be committed to inspiring young people and improving outcomes for all learners
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing
