Are you a passionate Inclusion Teacher seeking your next rewarding teaching opportunity? Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Inclusion Teacher to join a well-established and supportive Primary school in the Burnley area. This role is 5 days per week, and due to start in September 2026 and is ongoing for 12 months.

This is an excellent chance to oversee and deliver learning to a small group of children who are currently unable to access full time, mainstream education.

Position Details:

  • Location: Burnley, Lancashire
  • Start Date: September 2026 - 12 months FTC
  • Contract Type: Full-time, 5 days per week
  • Daily Rate: £168.80 – £215.68 per day (dependant on experience)

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and high-quality teaching and learning for three small groups of children with differing needs, including sensory needs.
  • Take a strategic role in designing the learning environment.
  • Work with a team of support staff to deliver effective teaching and learning in a calm and organised space.
  • Help to adapt the Equals Curriculum and Primary Curriculum for our children.
  • Bring learning to life through creative, motivating and inclusive learning experiences to ensure strong progress for every child.
  • Work closely with support staff, deploying them effectively, to enhance learning and maximise impact.
  • Set challenging yet accessible learning tasks that stimulate curiosity and engagement.
  • Help pupils re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence, develop regulation and make meaningful academic and personal progress from their starting points.
  • Reflect thoughtfully on their practice, using evaluation to continually improve teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Be confident in planning and delivering creative and inclusive lessons.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be committed to inspiring young people and improving outcomes for all learners.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Provide details of last 2 latest references, covering the last 5 years’ work history.
  • Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of your registration.
  • Be willing to complete a face to face registration and satisfy several checks.
