Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Lead to work on a full-time basis in a supportive Primary school in the Nelson area. This is a long-term role due to start in September 2026 or sooner, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

Position Details:

  • Location: Nelson, Lancashire
  • Start Date: September 2026 or sooner
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to perm
  • Salary: 168.80- 232.57 depending on experience

About the Role:

This is a non-teaching position and will be full time, focused on leading the development of behaviour support across school. The Headteacher will act as the strategic lead and has a clear vision for how this newly created role will work across the school to improve consistency, remove barriers to learning, and promote positive behaviour. The successful candidate will also line manage a Learning Mentor, with both roles working together to support pupils and ensure effective behaviour systems are embedded across school.

The role will include:

  • Delivering key behaviour messages and training to teachers and Teaching Assistants
  • Working alongside teachers to develop targeted programmes of support for individual pupils
  • Monitoring behaviour systems and procedures across school and identifying next steps to improve consistency
  • Analysing behaviour data, including CPOMS records
