Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in the Burnley area. This is a full-time position, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional to support pupils across a range of subjects and year groups.
Position Details
- Job Title: Cover Supervisor
- Location: Burnley area, Lancashire
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Type: Full-time
- Daily Rate: £80 – £100 per day, depending on experience
About the Cover Supervisor Role
- Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular teacher
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain focused on their work
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils with their learning and answer questions where appropriate
- Maintain a positive, calm and productive classroom environment
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil engagement and behaviour
- Work across a range of subjects and year groups
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures
The Ideal Cover Supervisor Will
- Have previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Have experience supervising classes or groups of pupils
- Be confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be adaptable and confident working across different subjects and year groups
- Be committed to supporting pupils' learning and development
- Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people
- Provide details of the 2 most recent references, covering the last 5 years' work history xgikmsk
- Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of registration
- Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy the required safeguarding and compliance checks
