Rotherham Aspire PRU enables students to be the best they can be. We pride ourselves in creating opportunities for children with multiple and complex barriers in life, with many of our students having been permanently excluded or at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. Some students may have an Education, Health and Care Plan and will be awaiting an onward destination.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and motivated teacher of English who has the ability to lead the development of English across our three PRU sites from September 2026. A thorough understanding and knowledge of GCSE syllabi and national curriculum requirements for both key 3 and 4 is essential. The successful candidate will have a desire to make a difference to the life chances of our vulnerable students, many of whom present with SEMH needs. The ability to develop effective English pedagogy across all sites will be essential.
The post is based at our Key Stage 4 site and the successful candidate must be able to teach GCSE and Functional Skills English. High quality CPD and supportive line management will help develop key leadership skills and serve as an ideal springboard to further career progression. The successful candidate will be responsible to the Assistant Head (Teaching).
