b Overview /b p In this role you will lead the design and delivery of secure, user-centric business applications within the council’s digital services team. You will translate operational needs into robust, scalable solutions and support public services through automation, data migrations and integrations. You’ll work across services, experts and suppliers to enable digital transformation and improve resident and colleague outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and adopt emerging technologies. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain business applications across the full software development lifecycle /li li Gather and translate functional and non-functional requirements into secure, scalable designs /li li Deliver process automation using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Power Apps) with cross-system integrations /li li Design and implement AI-powered solutions to boost efficiency and automation /li li Develop and support solutions using C#, SQL, JavaScript, APIs, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS /li li Plan and execute data migration and integration activities (discovery, mapping, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation, cutover) /li li Create complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, ETL routines, interfaces, validation rules, error reporting /li li Investigate data quality and integration issues, identify root causes and mitigate delivery risks /li li Produce technical documentation, test evidence, reconciliation reports and user guides for live transition /li li Support projects and governance with ICT standards, security and measurable benefits /li li Build strong relationships with services, suppliers and technical teams; communicate with non-technical audiences /li li Support continuous improvement and adoption of emerging technology /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li experienced developers with strong technical delivery and clear communication /li li commitment to public service /li li ability to translate operational needs into technical designs /li li familiarity with security and governance considerations /li /ul ul li clear communication /li li structured problem-solving /li li cross-functional collaboration /li li C# /li li SQL /li li JavaScript /li /ul
