An opportunity has arisen to work within RMBC Street Services, based at Oaks Lane Depot Kimberworth Park employed as a Street Services Operative

You will need to have relevant experience of carrying out commercial grass cutting or similar relevant experience in a similar environment.

Your main responsibilities will include, grass cutting using commercial type pedestrian mowing equipment and industrial type handheld equipment, e.g. strimmers and blowers, other responsibilities will include street cleansing work litter picking and emptying street litter and dog bins.

Additional responsibilities may include, weed grubbing, grit salting by hand, removal of drug litter and fly tipping.

Applicants must have, be able to complete daily and weekly record sheets, have a good understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental issues related to the position applied for as well as when required give general assistance to members of the public on relevant service issues when required, a clean driver\’s licence would be advantageous.

You must be flexible, committed and have a willingness to undertake mandatory training specific to Rotherham Council Employees and the Job role
