Herringthorpe Athletics Stadium is a vibrant community facility that welcomes athletes, sports clubs, schools, event organisers and members of the public throughout the year. As part of the Sport and Physical Activity Team, we work hard to create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in sport, improve their wellbeing and reach their potential. As a Stadium Attendant, you will play an important role in making sure every visitor has a safe, positive and enjoyable experience. The role is based entirely at the stadium and includes a range of shifts across evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service.

No two days are the same in this hands‑on role. You will help maintain the athletics track and facilities, carry out routine inspections, support the set‑up of training sessions and events, and ensure equipment is safe and ready to use. You'll be one of the first people visitors meet, providing a friendly welcome, answering questions and helping customers make the most of their visit. You'll also assist with bookings, access control, basic administration and monitoring activity around the stadium to ensure everyone can enjoy the facilities safely.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with the public, has a positive attitude and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, be willing to carry out practical maintenance and cleaning tasks, and have a strong commitment to health and safety. Previous experience in a sports, leisure, customer service or facilities environment would be beneficial, but just as importantly, we're looking for someone reliable, enthusiastic and keen to learn. First aid experience is helpful but not essential as training can be provided.
