We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Revenue, Benefits & Payments Officer that will join our friendly and professional Local Taxation Team. The Local Taxation Team is responsible for the billing and collection of Council Tax and National Non‑Domestic Rates.
In the role of Revenue and Benefits Officer you will:
- Work to a high standard to deliver excellent customer service to members of the public.
- Process customer accounts and make decisions in relation to the collection of outstanding debts to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and procedures.
- Handle customer enquiries across multiple access channels including telephone and e‑mail and be able to interpret, validate, and process information accurately to set timescales.
- Have good communication and IT skills with ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Have the ability to liaise with other agencies, authorities, departments, and services in relation to casework.
