Location: St Pius X Catholic High School, Wath Wood Road, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, S63 7PQ.
Contract: Permanent – term‑time only (includes 2 INSET days).
Hours: 37 per week (full time).
Salary: DHSF2 Band D £25,584 – £25,989 (Actual Salary £22,273 – £23,091).

Responsibilities
- Provide informal and formal support to students in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Subject Leaders, Class Teachers, Student Support Managers, Heads of Year and the SENDCo.
- Collaborate with the administrative team, parents, family support officers, social workers and other agencies to safeguard and promote the well‑being of pupils.
- Deliver pastoral care activities, including mentoring, conflict resolution and the implementation of school improvement initiatives.
- Participate in school reviews, safeguarding meetings and institutions’ welfare programmes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to pastoral care, empathy and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant experience or training in education, counselling or social work is desirable.
- The role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
