Oakwood High School, Rotherham.

Responsible to: SENCO, working under the guidance of Teaching Staff and Assistant SENCO.

Responsible for: Supporting students as directed (and the supervision of staff where appropriate).

Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Monday to Thursday – 8am – 4pm; Fridays, 8am – 3.30pm term time at 192 days.

Responsibility: Will be working under the direction of the SENCO to deliver agreed work with individuals and groups, in and out of the classroom. Will play a pivotal role in supporting students with a range of needs and challenges to enable them to experience the broad and balanced curriculum, which is their right. The successful candidate will be truly committed to supporting the students to make progress and achieve, with high expectations and aspirations for students’ success. They will actively contribute to ongoing planning with imaginative and dynamic ideas, playing a key role in the school’s journey towards outstanding.

All students and staff are provided with an electronic device to enhance learning and promote independence, supporting a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
