Do you have a passion for helping customers, collaborating with colleagues and utilising systems expertise to continually improve HR and Payroll processes to deliver outstanding customer outcomes? We are pleased to offer a great opportunity as a HR Technical Support Officer as part of the HR Technical Support and Management Information team within the HR Service Centre.
The HR Service Centre delivers payroll and related services to Rotherham Council and to a range of external customers. It is a customer focused, fast moving and high-volume service, with around 20,000 salaries processed each month. Central to the effective delivery of the service is the HR and Payroll system and the successful applicant will help to maintain and develop the system and support its users (our customers).
The HR Service Centre currently operates a flexible working model which will include both home and office working on site at Riverside House in Rotherham. However, this could change at any time to meet changing business and service needs.
In this role you will be looking after our customers by providing technical second line system support, helping internal system users, assisting with the build and maintenance of system workflows and processes, undertaking system housekeeping, completing batch data loads, developing and testing system improvements and creating and maintaining control processes and associated documentation such as user guides, working instructions and FAQs.
