We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a full-time enthusiastic HR Consultant to join our friendly HR Consultancy Team. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellent customer service and collaborative working.

As part of a dynamic and supportive team, you’ll be the first point of contact for HR advice across the Council’s five directorates. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, consistent HR support, ensuring our people feel valued and empowered.

You’ll work closely with Senior HR Consultants and HR Business Partners to support a wide range of HR activities, including:

  • Casework support across the employee lifecycle: recruitment, capability, disciplinary, grievance, Dignity at Work, redundancy, retirement
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives within the Council and with partner organisations
  • Providing advice on HR policies and procedures, including maternity, paternity, and other types of leave
  • Delivering accurate management information and data analysis to support workforce planning
  • Planning and facilitating learning events on a variety of HR topics
  • Contributing to the development and review of HR policies and procedures

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Has experience in a Human Resources advisory or consultancy role
  • Is confident working collaboratively and communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Has strong IT and data analysis skills
  • Is passionate about delivering excellent service and continuous improvement
  • Ideally holds or is working towards a CIPD qualification
