Contract: Fixed Term, 1 September 2026 – 30 April 2027 (part‑time).

Location: Thomas Rotherham College, Rotherham.

Role Overview

Responsible to: Trust Community Sports Manager.

Responsible for: College Sports Academy.

Working Hours

Core session: Wednesday 11:40am – 5:00pm (start time may vary by fixture)

Additional hours: Monday 9:00am–10:30am, Tuesday 3:00pm–4:30pm, Thursday 1:45pm–3:15pm

Home & Away fixtures may require additional time; some flexibility needed.

Potential holiday camp delivery outside term time.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and administrate the specified sports academy, supporting recruitment and smooth running.
  • Contribute to positive working environment and develop culture within the academy.
  • Collaborate with Trust Community Sports Manager and other staff.
  • Assist in planning, coaching, and monitoring student participation.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Participate in vetting and safeguarding checks.

Qualifications & Experience (as required)

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in sports coaching, preferably with women’s programmes.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a multi‑academy trust.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
