Location: Aston Fence Junior and Infant School, Sheffield Road, Woodhouse Mill, Sheffield S13 9ZD.

Contract type: Part time – 32.25 hours Monday to Friday

Contract term: Temporary with a possibility to become permanent

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a skilled, professional and friendly Finance Admin Assistant to join our outstanding team to work 32.25hrs (32 Hours and 15 minutes) – term time only. At Aston Fence, we are passionate about education and as a school, we strive to develop the skills and talents of all our pupils and to nurture within them a love of learning, which will stay with them throughout their lives. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who would like to join our dedicated and hardworking team.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices using FMS
  • Supporting budget monitoring and reporting
  • Provide clerical and administration support to all staff and pupils
  • Carry out reception duties including dealing with parents and answering the telephone.
  • Use a wide range of IT software including SIMS, FMS, Parent Pay and Microsoft Excel.
  • Manage your time well within a very busy office environment
  • Work flexibly as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a finance or school administration role
  • Excellent numeracy and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of school finance systems such as SIMS and FMS (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work under their own initiative
  • Working knowledge of IT with experience of using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to establish good relationships working with the wider school community
