We are looking for a forward-thinking Programme Developer to join our Skills and Careers team, leading on the design, delivery and evaluation of Essential Skills provision across Rotherham. As a Programme Developer, you will play a key role within Rotherham Council’s Skills programme, developing and delivering high-quality Essential Skills interventions for unemployed and economically inactive residents. You will design tailored programmes in English, Maths, digital skills and ESOL, supporting learners to overcome barriers and progress into employment, apprenticeships or further education.
Working in a fast-paced, learner-centred environment, you will ensure provision is practical, accessible and focused on outcomes. You will carry out initial assessments and diagnostic activities to identify individual learning needs and create personalised learning plans. You will also deliver accredited provision, including AQA Unit Award Scheme and support learners working towards Functional Skills. Working closely with Employment Support Advisors and partners, you will help coordinate learner journeys and contribute to improved outcomes across Rotherham Council’s Employment and Skills service.
