We are looking to recruit a Direct Payment Monitoring Officer to join our busy Revenue and Payments Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, professional environment and wants to play a key role in supporting effective service delivery for adults who require social care.
The role focuses on auditing accounts for people who are in receipt of a Personal Budget via a Direct Payment.
What you will be doing:
- Providing an efficient and effective audit function
- Providing information, advice and guidance to assist people with the financial management of their Direct Payment
- Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation
- Ensuring all tasks are completed and timescales adhered to
- Progress any issues relating to the management of the budget and report to Adult Social Care
- Recover any unspent monies following the audit and/or close‑down process
- Support the Direct Payment Team

- Experience of working in a financial or audit environment would be beneficial
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence interpreting financial information
