Responsible for: Supporting Students and Staff – Preparation of Design Technology related resources.

The Design Technology Technician will be a vital member of the Innovate Learning Zone, providing technical support to the Design Technology department and contributing to the school’s teaching and learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the Design Technology department as part of the school Technician team.
  • Support the preparation of Design Technology related resources for students and staff.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm to develop support for Technology and promote safe working practices.
  • Commit to helping students progress and achieve high expectations and aspirations for success.
  • Actively contribute to ongoing planning with imaginative and dynamic ideas, playing a key role in the school’s journey towards outstanding.
  • Support a dynamic and inclusive learning environment by ensuring all students and staff are provided with an electronic device to enhance learning and promote independence.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • GCSE A*‑C (or 9‑4) in English, Maths, and Science, and a science qualification at an appropriate level.
  • Experience and strong technical skills suitable for a Design Technology Technician role.
  • Ability to work as a supportive member of a team, demonstrating enthusiasm for developing Technology support and safe working practices.
