Schedule: Term time plus 3 weeks during school holidays (42 weeks per year). Split-shift pattern: 6:30 am – 9:00 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Flexibility required on occasion to support school events.
About the Role: As caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the school's buildings and grounds are safe, secure, well-maintained and fit for purpose. You will undertake routine maintenance, liaise with contractors, carry out cleaning duties and help to maintain a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors. The post-holder will also manage key holder responsibilities and occasional emergency call-outs.
About You:
- Ability to carry out routine repair work to buildings.
- Ability to carry out cleaning tasks in line with cleaning specifications.
- Experience of working in building and site maintenance.
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of building security.
- Experience of working with tradespeople & contractors.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
