Job description:

Directorate: Corporate Services. Permanent, part time, 25 hours per week, split shift (6:15am – 8:45am and 3:30pm – 6:00pm), 52 weeks per year. Additional hours may be available depending on service needs and a degree of flexibility is required.

We’re looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join the friendly team at Ryecroft Infant School. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding school setting, supporting the day‑to‑day operations and ensuring the site is secure, clean, and well‑maintained.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Opening and closing the school premises daily
  • Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance
  • Ensuring the site is safe and accessible during adverse weather
  • Supporting school events such as parents’ evenings and meetings
  • Acting as a key holder and responding to emergencies when needed
  • Assisting with cleaning tasks when required
