We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and caring Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and would like to gain valuable experience while working towards a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.

As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences, help pupils achieve their full potential, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils' learning in the classroom, both individually and in small groups.
  • Assist the class teacher with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating and organised learning environment.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Supervise children during breaktimes, lunchtimes and educational activities as required.
  • Observe and record pupil progress under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Promote the school's safeguarding, equality and inclusion policies.
  • Participate in training and complete coursework required for the apprenticeship programme.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development.
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
  • Has GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
