Contract: Permanent (subject to successful probationary process).
Hours: 30 hrs per week, term time only, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30.

Salary Band D: £26,340 - £26,472 pro rata (pay award pending).
Role Summary: Badsley Primary is a large, popular Local Authority Maintained Primary School in central Rotherham. We are seeking an organised, approachable, and proactive Administrative Assistant to be the welcoming face of our reception and school office. This key role provides excellent front‑of‑house service and day‑to‑day administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk, handle daily enquiries, and ensure all visitors receive a professional and positive first impression.
- Provide administrative and organisational support under the guidance of the Headteacher and School Business Manager.
- Support a range of tasks as required, including visitor sign‑in, telephone handling, and data entry.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experienced in working within a busy office environment (minimum two years).
- Strong team player, focused and enthusiastic.
- Committed to school vision and values.
- Confident, professional and caring when dealing with parents, pupils and staff.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Knowledgeable in Management Information Systems (e.g., Arbor) – desirable; training provided.
- Ability to interpret and analyse data.
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion and follow safeguarding procedures.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- A first‑aid qualification is desirable (training can be provided).
