About The Role

Rotherham Council is seeking a motivated and organised Administration Assistant to join Housing Property Services, working within the Housing Investment Team. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to provide essential administrative support to the Stock Surveying Team. Working closely with the Stock Surveying Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of a wide range of property-related projects and programmes. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication and administrative skills who is looking to develop their experience in a busy, customer‑focused service.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Liaise with tenants, colleagues across the Council, and external stakeholders to arrange appointments and update team diaries.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring information received is checked, logged, and kept up to date across our IT systems and databases.
  • Raise purchase orders and manage stationery supplies to support day‑to‑day team operations.
  • Provide administrative support across key Housing Investment workstreams, including:
    • Stock Condition Surveys
    • Tenant Alterations
    • Fire‑Damaged Properties
    • Structural Works
    • Environmental Improvements
