The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

Location: Brinsworth Manor Infant and Junior School & Woodsetts Primary School – Woodsetts. Role includes some cleaning hours.

Appointment: Full Time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year on a split shift arrangement:

  • Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 10:30 & 14:00 – 18:00
  • Friday: 07:00 – 10:00 & 14:00 – 18:00

Responsible to: Trust Estates Manager

About the Role: We are now looking to appoint an Academy Caretaker who shares our values and can bring expertise, energy and commitment to our Premises Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in school, working closely with other Caretakers, Hub Facilities Officers and Headteachers to manage the security of our buildings, and to take a proactive role in the maintenance and management of our school sites.

You will be the first point of contact for staff regarding maintenance and therefore must be very customer focused, polite and helpful. You will supervise a dedicated team of cleaning staff and you will have great interpersonal skills to support our schools in creating an outstanding learning environment for our pupils.

You will also work with the Trust Estates Manager and Trust Health and Safety Compliance Officer to ensure our schools comply with all requirements of Health and Safety, risk management and statutory testing, liaising with contractors and external agencies regarding the completion of planned and reactive maintenance, and the day‑to‑day management of our building services, plant and equipment to keep our school sites clean, safe and a great place to learn and work.
