Registered Managers in Rotherham will:

  • Provide leadership and management of children's homes in the borough.
  • Ensure homes comply with all standards and legislative requirements.
  • Provide opportunities for children and young people to influence the decisions that affect them and the service they receive.
  • Promote a therapeutic approach with both children and young people and staff.
  • Foster a commitment to continuous growth and development for their staff team.
  • Work systemically with a range of agencies to ensure a joined‑up service centred on the child.
  • Monitor and develop standards in line with Children's Home Regulations and work towards ensuring all homes are Good or Outstanding.
  • Act as the Registered Manager of a residential home for children and young people and ensure that high‑quality care within the homes is provided and maintained.
  • Contribute to the protection and safeguarding of children at all times.
  • Promote education, health and wellbeing of Children and Young People.
