About the Role
As our Stadium Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the stadium, ensuring facilities are safe, clean, secure and ready for use. No two days will be the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate athletics programmes, training sessions, competitions and events
- Manage bookings and schedules and oversee equipment and facilities
- Help deliver an excellent customer experience
- Supervise staff, casual workers and volunteers, supporting them to provide a professional and high-quality service
- Work closely with athletics clubs, schools, governing bodies and community partners to maximise participation and ensure the stadium remains at the heart of athletics in Rotherham
Herringthorpe Athletics Stadium is one of South Yorkshire's premier athletics facilities, supporting athletes of all ages and abilities, local clubs, schools, community organisations and major sporting events.
The Sport and Physical Activity Team is committed to helping people become more active, improve their health and wellbeing, and achieve their sporting potential.
Requirements
- Experience in a sports, leisure, athletics or events environment
- Experience of athletics, coaching, event delivery or sports development is advantageous
- Knowledge of health and safety and the safe use of athletics equipment
- Level 3 coaching, leadership or equivalent qualification
- First Aid qualification
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays when required
- Will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at an enhanced level
Location & Working Conditions
- Based on site at Herringthorpe Athletics Stadium, South Yorkshire
- Role requires a visible operational presence and is not suitable for hybrid working
