Contract Type: Permanent, term time only.
Contracted Hours: 15 hours per week. Morning session 07:25 am – 08:40 am; Afternoon session 15:00 – 16:45.
Responsible to: Childcare Supervisor, Head of School and Business Manager.
Employment Start Date: 1st September 2026.
This role is open to candidates who can cover both AM and PM sessions; however, applications for either AM or PM only will be considered.
The Directors of Exceed Learning Partnership and Governors of Sheep Dip Lane Academy are looking to appoint a Childcare Assistant for our Wrap Around Care provision for pupils before and after school.
Key Responsibilities- Support learning: Assist in the delivery of engaging, play‑based learning activities in line with the curriculum.
- Provide high‑standard physical, emotional, and social care to children, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and lunch breaks to ensure safety and positive behaviour.
- Lead small‑group activities such as reading, arts and crafts, or phonics games under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Observe and record children’s progress and development milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming classroom environment.
