Our Early Help and Family Engagement Service works with children, young people and families to provide support at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent difficulties from escalating.
As a Family Support Worker, you will
- Work directly with children, young people and families experiencing a range of challenges.
- Build trusted relationships that support lasting change.
- Complete Family Assessments of Need and contribute to family plans.
- Work alongside schools, health services, social care and partner agencies.
- Support families to develop resilience, confidence and practical solutions.
- Manage a varied caseload and help improve outcomes for children and young people.
- Provide advice, guidance and practical support that helps families achieve their goals.
- Has experience working directly with children, young people and families.
- Can engage and motivate families using a strengths-based approach.
- Has experience of, or the ability to develop skills in, assessment, planning and reviewing support with families.
- Understands safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Builds effective working relationships with professionals and partner agencies.
- Is resilient, reflective and committed to high-quality practice.
