Are you ready to shape the future of one of South Yorkshire’s most ambitious and fast-evolving places? Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for a bold and visionary Regeneration Service Manager to lead the delivery of our £200 million regeneration programme – and help turn big ideas into lasting impact.
Rotherham is a borough full of energy, potential, and momentum. From major town centre developments to transformative infrastructure projects, we’re building a place where:
- Businesses can grow and succeed
- Residents have access to high-quality homes, jobs and public spaces
- Communities feel connected, empowered, and proud of where they live
As one of two service managers in our dynamic Regeneration Service, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering this ambitious agenda. You’ll lead the development and delivery of large-scale, complex regeneration and placemaking projects that are changing the face of Rotherham – from town and local centres to new housing and green spaces.
You’ll be at the forefront of our most exciting strategic projects, such as:
The new Gateway Station – a transformational rail scheme that will unlock improved connectivity, attract investment and create a new business hub around a future-facing transport interchange
Bassingthorpe – a landmark opportunity to deliver a new mixed-use community just minutes from the town centre, offering thousands of homes, jobs and green space
Forge Island – one of our flagship successes, now home to a new cinema, hotel, and vibrant leisure offer that’s breathing new life into the heart of Rotherham
This is your chance to work across the public and private sectors, shaping partnerships that unlock investment, drive inclusive growth, and leave a positive legacy for future generations.
We’re looking for a high-performing, passionate regeneration professional who’s ready to make a real difference. You’ll have a strong track record of delivery, deep understanding of the public sector, and the confidence to lead in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
