Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver therapeutic, evidence-based nursing care to individuals with a range of mental health conditions.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk management, and care planning in partnership with service users and carers.
  • Promote recovery, independence, and wellbeing through meaningful engagement and therapeutic interventions.
  • Administer medication safely and monitor its effectiveness, reporting concerns appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional, legal, and safeguarding standards.
  • Support crisis management and contribute to creating a safe, supportive ward environment.
  • Engage in reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

This role provides an opportunity to develop core clinical skills within an acute inpatient setting, building confidence in decision-making, therapeutic communication, and collaborative care delivery.
