Overview
Are you passionate about delivering high-quality psychological care for people with complex emotional needs and trauma? This role is in a service that values innovation, staff wellbeing, and a strong team ethos. We are looking for a Psychologist to join our Comprehensive Emotional Care Service, which brings together our Community Mental Health Team and Primary Care Mental Health pathway. The post is primarily clinical, offering psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention, and provides the opportunity to lead and develop our community of psychological professionals.
Band and development
We welcome applications from experienced psychologists at Band 8b level, as well as those seeking a development opportunity at Band 8a, with structured supervision and support to progress into an 8b role.

As a Senior Psychologist, You Will
- Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for people experiencing complex emotional needs and trauma.
- Offer expertise in risk assessment and management, supporting colleagues across the multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver a range of evidence-based therapies, with opportunities to contribute to and develop innovative approaches beyond CBT (e.g., EMDR, DBT, systemic approaches).
- Lead, supervise, and support a group of psychological professionals, helping to shape service delivery and nurture staff wellbeing.
- Contribute to service development and governance, working alongside colleagues to embed trauma-informed care across our pathways.
- Provide consultation, supervision, and training for MDT colleagues, and support the next generation of psychologists through links with the University of Hull Clinical Psychology course.
