We are delighted to offer an exciting 8-month secondment opportunity to join the North Community Nursing Team as Clinical Team Lead. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their leadership journey. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop their leadership and management skills, while positively influencing team culture by role‑modeling high standards of professional practice and behaviour. This secondment offers a supportive environment, with guidance and encouragement from peers and the wider leadership team, making it an excellent opportunity to grow in confidence and capability within a leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the leadership, mentorship and support of staff on a daily basis.
  • Support the service manager in Service Provision in the effective management of caseload holders within the resources available, reviewing staffing levels and skill mix as necessary.
  • Ensure that effective two-way communication takes place throughout the Care group, at all levels, by disseminating information.
  • Act as a professional link, under the supervision of the service manager between the Care group director and staff, canvassing opinions and correlating feedback from staff.
  • Be involved in Quality, Standards of Care and Clinical Audit within the Trust, including monitoring staff records.
  • Stimulate and participate in research, whilst supporting staff undertaking research.
  • Ensure the undertaking of the PDR process for staff to create a Personal development plan to identify training and development requirements.
  • Ensure the undertaking of the supervision process to ensure all staff get the support they need.
  • In consultation with the Service manager, the Team Leader will lead on annual objectives both joint and individual, to be reviewed on a regular basis to meet organisational, individual and professional needs.
