The Trust are seeking a qualified trades person to join the Estates Maintenance Team working at our Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber sites. You will be part of a great team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive maintenance and installation service across the Trust’s estate. The post attracts a band 5 salary plus overtime, on call allowance and any call out payments. The Trust and the Head of Service are committed to technical development of our staff with great opportunities for further training and support in career development.
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and installation work across our Trust properties and work with a variety of specialist contractors and engineers on a variety of systems.
- Provide our patients and staff with compliant, safe, and pleasant environments to work in, working with all clinical staff, nurses, doctors, and corporate staff to support them.
- Carry out repair, maintenance or installation of all plant, equipment, systems and building structure/fabric associated with all Trust properties.
- Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPMs), testing and calibration, fault finding, emergency response, defect correction and minor works.
- Be employed to work appropriate to your core skills around building and engineering plant and equipment maintenance.
- Progressively be trained, where required, to acquire other skills with the intention of reaching levels of multi‑trade flexibility and competence.
- Take on some Competent Person duties with training provided and participate in the craftsperson on‑call rota.
- Work closely with the Senior Technicians to improve planned maintenance.
Qualifications
- Hold NVQ level 3 qualifications in the plumbing trade.
- Have undertaken a relevant apprenticeship.
