Within RNN Group, Maths and English skills are in high demand and this role allows you to influence and contribute towards the College's provision in this key area. You will have the opportunity to impart your knowledge and expertise to learners, and ultimately make an impact on the wider community. In this role you will deliver GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Numeracy to full‑time students and adults, working in well‑equipped onsite classrooms and online through our virtual learning environment using Google Classroom. The lecturer will equip students with skills for their future through outstanding education and training, inspiring them to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative resources to inspire outstanding learning and monitor and track learner progress to promote positive outcomes.
  • Report to the Deputy Manager for English and Maths about objectives and KPI’s including student recruitment, retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality.
  • Work as part of a Curriculum and Department team, collaborating with other teaching staff to develop and share good practice.
  • Participate in cross‑college teams or working groups on key projects as required.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork, interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.

Schedule & Hours

The Group’s core operating hours are 8.30 am–5.00 pm (9 pm on a Tuesday and Thursday during term time). You may be expected to work at any time during these hours to meet business needs. Full, part‑time and flexible working hours are available in many roles.

Qualifications

  • Hold at least an A Level (or equivalent) qualification in Maths or above and be willing to work towards a teaching qualification, or already possess one.
  • Ideally, hold a degree qualification in a chosen subject.
  • Ability to bring the subject to life using practical, theoretical and digital methods.

Required Checks

All new employees must undertake a DBS check and other associated checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
