A wonderful opportunity for an Instructor or Learning Mentor has become available at the Newton Wood Barn Alternative Provision, located on the Rotherfield Park Estate.

In a nutshell, this is more than a job, this a role for those seeking to make a difference in the lives of young people. Ideally you will have worked with children before and be able to demonstrate strong relationship building skills. It is essential that you can be a positive role model, set clear boundaries, be patient and proactive. Every day will be different, some good, some challenging, hugely rewarding and always great fun.

The successful candidate will

  • have a teaching or coaching qualification or equivalent experience facilitating learning
  • have evidence of continuous professional development and commitment to further professional development
  • be a confident individual with excellent communication skills, a sense of fun and resilience
  • committed to child protection and promoting the welfare of young people
  • will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check (DBS) under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Acts 1974
