Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, who is a well-established, large business, seeking a Supply Chain Senior Finance Manager to support their Supply Chain & Logistics function. This is a key leadership role, offering the chance to step into a high-impact position and shape financial strategy across a leading FMCG organisation.
Role Overview
You’ll play a key role in supporting operational excellence by overseeing financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to strategic decision-making. Reporting into the Finance leadership team, you’ll manage a small team and work closely with key stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small team, overseeing all financial reporting for the Supply Chain and Logistics function.
- Partner with the operations hub teams to deliver insightful period reviews, challenging costs, and championing productivity improvements.
- Responsible for producing weekly performance analysis, comparing actuals to budget and volume-adjusted forecasts.
- Perform scenario modelling to evaluate the financial impact of operational and productivity initiatives across the distribution hub.
- Collaborate closely with the operations hub and the internal Logistics team to support budgeting and half-year forecasting processes.
- Cost forecasting short, medium & long term, incorporating trading trends and operational performance.
- Support the Director of the Operations Hub in contract negotiations across distribution.
- Review and challenge commercial proposals, highlighting key risks and opportunities in relation to budget expectations.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Experience in the distribution or logistics sector is highly advantageous.
- Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to questioning and challenging data.
- Confident communicator with experience presenting financial performance to senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
- Advanced Excel skills with a strong track record of handling and interpreting large data sets.
What's on Offer
- Circa £80,000 to £85,000 per annum.
