Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a very well-established organisation based on the outskirts of Connah’s Quay, Flintshire in the recruitment of a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk, to join their Finance team for a period of 11 months. This is a maternity contract and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of an accurate and efficient finance function.
Responsibilities will include:
- Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Accounts Payable process.
- You will be responsible for maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and supporting both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Processing invoices that have not auto-matched, including obtaining appropriate authorisation where required.
- Supporting payment and expense runs to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies, including requesting copy invoices or credits.
- Posting and reconciling bank and petty cash transactions.
- Processing fortnightly expense claims.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant standards.
Your skills and experience:
- Our Client is looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a high-volume environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach.
