Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing and ambitious business based near Deeside, operating across the UK, Europe and the US, with plans to expand into new markets. Our Client is looking for a proactive and organised Payroll and Accounts Clerk to take ownership of payroll and support key finance and administrative functions within the business.
This is a varied role combining payroll administration, finance support, and operational coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process while also supporting the finance team and assisting with business projects.
This role requires someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and able to work independently, taking full ownership of their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll
- Full end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 45 employees, including a small number on weekly payroll.
- Collating and reviewing timesheets and liaising with managers to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Handling payroll queries from employees and managers.
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within deadlines.
- HR / Administration Support
- Supporting the onboarding process for new starters.
- Managing new starter and leaver processes.
- Maintaining and monitoring company holiday schedules to ensure operational coverage across departments.
- Finance Support
- Supporting the accounts function and assisting the purchase and sales ledger where required.
- Maintaining accurate financial and payroll records.
- Projects & Business Support
- Assisting with analytical and improvement projects within the business.
- Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies across finance and administration.
- Taking a project-focused mindset when supporting operational initiatives.
- Has experience processing payroll from start to finish.
- Is organised, proactive and able to take ownership of their role.
- Has strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Is confident working with managers and employees across the business.
- Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Has experience supporting finance or ledger functions (desirable).
- Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience.
