Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is pleased to be working with a well-established and expanding business based in the St Asaph area seeking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or recently qualified Management Accountant to join a growing organisation and play a key role in supporting financial decision‑making. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will contribute to the production of accurate, timely, and commercially relevant financial information to support strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including full P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
  • Monthly accruals, prepayments and journal postings
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
  • Production of monthly KPI reporting and performance analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis
  • Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
  • Supporting year‑end statutory accounts preparation and liaising with external auditors
  • VAT returns and other statutory submissions
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of financial controls and processes
  • Providing financial analysis to support commercial decision‑making
  • Supporting the Financial Director with ad hoc projects and reporting requirements

Candidate Profile

  • Part-qualified or recently qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a management accounting role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capability
  • Advanced Excel skills and confident working with financial systems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
