RotheramCarrington Financial Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation located near Crewe, to recruit a Commercial Management Accountant to join their team. This role will involve collaborating closely with key stakeholders across various departments to foster better communication, improve the accuracy of financial reporting, and provide valuable management information. The goal is to support more informed decision-making, drive process improvements, and increase operational efficiencies within the business.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Prepare management accounts, and balance sheet accounting, analysis, and review to P&L, providing necessary commentary
- Monitor and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Managing working capital effectively to improve cash flow
- Produce detailed sales analysis and gross margin reports
- Accurate financial reporting and effective management of KPIs for decision-making, to maintain a strong financial position
- Production of financial reports on overheads, accompanied by supporting stats, to provide visibility to department owners and senior leadership.
- Financial analysis reviews to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for cost efficiencies
- Prepare cost reports for new projects, track and analyse project expenditure
- Preparation of statutory accounts, Tax and compliance requirements, assist in the annual audit process
- Contribute to ERP implementation
- Ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required by the business
Skills/Experience:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Management Accountant
- Excellent communication skills, this role will be partnering across multiple departments so developing good working relationships is key
- Highly proficient using Excel, manipulating data within financial models to support business with new projects
- Thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, ability to spin multiple plates
