Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is partnering with a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation based M56 side of Runcorn, currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation. Our Client has an immediate requirement for an Interim Finance Manager for an initial period of 6 months. The successful incumbent will be hands-on and have operational responsibility.
About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations, developing a high-performing finance team, ensuring robust cash flow forecasting, and supporting the strategic financial planning process.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and all aspects of the month-end process
- Lead, manage, and develop the finance team, ensuring clarity of roles, expectations, and performance standards
- Review and oversee transactional finance processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain adherence to financial processes in line with relevant regulatory requirements
- Build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders, supporting budgeting and financial planning across departments
- Enhance financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks
- Take ownership of cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support business-wide decision-making
About You
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a strong track record of team leadership
- Experience in a regulated, growing business or business services environment is highly advantageous
- Exceptional skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Demonstrated strength in cash flow forecasting and financial modelling
- Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI); scenario modelling skills desirable
- A strong communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Emotionally intelligent leader with a collaborative and motivational management style
- Highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and regulatory compliance
